Student Parliament

We encourage our students to be leaders in the classroom and playground, through their support for other students, or their involvement in academic, sporting, cultural or community events and projects.

Student Parliament this school leadership program helps students to act as role models for their peers and develop strong leadership skills while empowering students through active involvement in a fully functioning democratic model. All  5/6 students have opportunities to be part of a leadership team with elected ministers and members of each Ministry within the School Parliament. These students then lead their ministries and run parliament sessions. Issues are raised at a classroom level through circle time and conveyed through Ministerial representatives to the parliament.

The schools ministries currently are:

  • STEM
  • Learn and Thrive
  • Building Communities
  • Cultural Inclusivity

Our Student Parliament program was recently awarded a

Governor's Civics Award

For; Civics & Citizenship Development of civic action and advocacy for community diversity and social cohesion.
