STEM

Prospect North Primary School is working with students as partners in the design and delivery of learning. Our students have opportunities to build their STEM skills through class investigations, Personal Investigations, Problem solving with Buddy classes,  a strong program of Digital Leaders and Kids Teaching Kids opportunities.

Student Agency is built by having students take charge of their learning through co design with teachers, setting goals, designing ways forward to achieve goals and feedback/feedforward in teams.

Our teachers are using Design Thinking as a planning process and a learning process to integrate STEM as a way of solving real world problems in both indoor and outdoor environments. Students also utilise digital technologies like robotics, buildable circuits, virtual environments and mobile devices as an integral part of their learning.

The school also offers STEM enrichment opportunities for students to participate in First Lego League, Junior Lego League, as well as connection to outside groups like Robogals and StemNation.
